Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Wordbox (the "Service"), operated by Astroshock SL ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using Wordbox, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Wordbox is a personal dictionary and vocabulary management service that allows users to collect, organize, explore, and practice words using manual and AI-assisted features across platforms.

Wordbox is intended as a personal learning and productivity tool. We do not guarantee educational results, memory improvement, or language proficiency.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use Wordbox.

3. Accounts

Some features of the Service require creating an account.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account

You are not required to use your real name. However, you agree not to intentionally provide false or misleading information that interferes with the operation of the Service.

4. Plans and Subscriptions

Wordbox offers both free and paid access options.

Certain features, limits, or capabilities may be available only under paid subscriptions. Availability, limits, and pricing may vary by plan and may change over time.

Current plan details, pricing, and feature descriptions are presented within the Wordbox application or on the official Wordbox website and are not contractually fixed.

5. Payments, Billing, and Refunds

Paid subscriptions, where applicable, are billed in advance on a recurring basis according to the billing period you select.

Prices may change in the future. Any changes will apply only to future billing periods, and we will notify users in advance where required by law.

Payments are generally non-refundable, except where refunds are required by applicable law.

You may cancel a paid subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing period.

6. AI-Assisted Features

The Service may include AI-assisted features intended to support adding, exploring, or interacting with content.

You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading
  • AI-assisted features are provided for assistance only
  • You remain responsible for how you use and interpret any AI-generated content

AI-assisted features may be modified, limited, or replaced over time as part of ongoing product development.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create within Wordbox, including words, definitions, notes, and boxes ("User Content").

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving Wordbox.

We do not sell your personal content.

8. Sharing and Visibility

Wordbox may allow you to share content with others.

You are responsible for:

  • What content you choose to share
  • The audiences you share it with

Once content is shared, we cannot control how others use, copy, or redistribute it.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Abuse, interfere with, or attempt to reverse engineer the Service
  • Attempt to bypass safeguards or technical limitations
  • Use automated systems to extract data without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of Wordbox is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, process, and protect personal data.

We aim to minimize data retention and process user data only as necessary to provide the Service.

11. Availability and Changes

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

We may:

  • Modify or discontinue features
  • Add or remove functionality
  • Temporarily suspend access for maintenance or updates

We will try to communicate significant changes in advance, when reasonably possible.

12. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time.

Upon account deletion, your User Content will be permanently deleted from our systems.

We may update data retention practices in the future. Any material changes will be communicated and reflected in updated Terms and Privacy Policy.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • We are required to do so by law
  • Technical, legal, or operational reasons prevent us from reasonably operating the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will end.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Wordbox and Astroshock SL are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Barcelona, Spain, unless otherwise required by law.
